About Home Energy Squad
Home Energy Squad helps Minnesota residents save energy and improve home comfort. Trained energy experts provide an assessment of your home to help identify easy ways to make your home more efficient.
During a typical visit, the team may:
- Evaluate your home’s energy use and comfort issues
- Install energy-saving materials such as LED bulbs, weatherstripping, and high-efficiency showerheads
- Test your home’s equipment for safety and performance
- Provide personalized recommendations for next steps, like insulation or heating system upgrades
Depending on where you live and your income level, low or no cost visits may be available.
Home Energy Squad is a Xcel Energy and CenterPoint Energy program and delivered by CEE and ICF in collaboration with participating Minnesota cities and counties.
